Love Truth

Well, I'm still here, alive and well and in Fredericksburg still. All the flights were cancelled, so it looks like we'll be taking off on Saturday-- God willing!

Here's the quote of the day for Feb. 9 from Catholics Speak Today. I thought it was a good quote for my blog- maybe my life!

"Love truth; show yourself as you are, without pretense, without fears and cares. And if the truth means your persecution, accept it; if it means your torment, bear it. And if for the truth's sake you should sacrifice yourself and your life, be strong in your sacrifice. "
by St. Joseph Moscati (1880-1927)
It's easy to talk and blog about things that don't have any religious significance, but talking and blogging about my faith is entirely different thing. It challenges me every time to look at my silly insecurities and break down walls that I have built to protect my pride and self image. It's not easy, especially when telling the truth is counter-culteral and it could offend others. So, like this quote says, I do feel like I sacrifice myself- mostly the parts that can be sacrificed- my pride and my ego- when I tell others about my faith. It's not easy, but it's always worth it!

Praying that more young people would have the courage not only to blog about their Catholic faith, but LIVE it. Keep on trucking, Sarah!
